Willy

Remus really had taken his week with Willy as both magical and temporary. Especially when they'd parted ways with Willy giving no indication that he wanted to see him again. And Remus, who felt as if he'd been given more than enough and had little to offer in return, hadn't felt right about asking.

That night as he locked himself in the storage unit he felt... despair. He was so used to being miserable that having been happy for a while and following it up with this... it somehow made it worse than usual. And somewhere inside him he could feel the wolf's rage, too. It had liked Willy. A lot.

He blacked out as usual, and the next morning remembered nothing. But he knew that whatever happened, it was so much worse than it had been in a long time.

There was blood smeared everywhere. His blood. And he was covered in scratches, where the wolf had turned on itself with nothing else to take its rage out on. His head felt fuzzy, too, and he realized there was blood in his hair... oh, he must have slammed his head against the wall. That's what that spot on the wall was.

He honestly didn't know what to do. He couldn't go to a hostel like this.

Finally he threw on his coat and tried his best to keep his head down as he limped through the streets of London... back to Willy's doorstep.

And when Willy opened the door, the first words out of his mouth were, "I'm so sorry, I didn't know where else to go..." And then swayed on his feet, looking as if he were about to fall over.

Willy chuckled softly.

"I have no food," he said. "I don't cook. Come. We'll go find breakfast, mouse."

[mooningremus]

"I can cook," Remus offered eagerly, seeing an opportunity to contribute something useful. "We could get food now but if you'd like to get groceries I could cook for you."

[willysilver]

He was actually quite enamoured by the thought of having someone to cook and clean. And there wasn't even a bond of servitude. That took all responsibility off him.

Perhaps his would work nicely for a while.

"Alright," he nodded. "Breakfast and then shopping."

[mooningremus]

"Wonderful," Remus said, brightening a little. "What kind of food do you like?"

[willysilver]

"I don't eat meat," he said. "Other than that, I'm not terribly choosy."

He smiled, moved in, and kissed Remus's forehead one more time.

"So you can choose breakfast. What sounds best?"

[mooningremus]

"Perhaps pastries again?" Remus offered. "Though we don't have to go so far away this time. We could even just get something at the bakery at the grocer's."

[willysilver]

"You need a real meal," he said. "I've noticed you only eat the cheapest things, Remus. You aren't sly," he smiled. "Take advantage of the opportunity. Why don't we go get you a proper fry up. Extra bacon."

He knew a nice cafe just in the next block. No Michelin star establishment, but they did some very nice salads and there was always a lot of food.

"Are you sure?" Remus said. "Meat won't bother you?" But oh that did sound delicious. Bacon. And coffee.

[willysilver]

"Why would it bother me? I'm not eating it. If you like it, you should have it. Bacon. And steaks. And burgers. And chicken. And...I don't know. Whatever you like," he said.

[mooningremus]

Remus kissed him. "Yes. Please."

[willysilver]

"It is so easy to please you," he chuckled. "Put your shoes on and we will go," he said, leaving him to go find his leather jacket.

Sometimes when Remus was depressed, he found it difficult to do magic. Now he pulled out his wand and murmured, "Accio shoes," and then stepped into them once they slid to him.

The day was clear with only a bit of a chill in the air. Out on the street, Willy draped an arm lazily around Remus's shoulders.

"I should write a song for you," he decided aloud.

[mooningremus]

"Oh... if you really want to, that would be wonderful," Remus said, leaning into him a little. "Willy, are um, are you glad I came back?"

[willysilver]

"Yes," he replied simply. Glad was as good a word as any.

[mooningremus]

"I'll leave whenever you want," Remus said hastily. "I mean, I'm sure you... you have things to do, and lovers, and..." His voice trailed off. "You've been so kind, is all. I'm not trying to take advantage."

[willysilver]

"I know you're not," he chuckled softly. If he'd wished for it, the fae may have been a bit put out.

[mooningremus]

Remus assumed... hoped... that Willy wouldn't have invited him to stay again if he hadn't enjoyed the past week. And now Remus, always eager to please, just wanted to be the best house guest in the world. Cooking was just a start, and he was happy to do it. Maybe he could help keep the place tidy, too. And though he couldn't bring himself to imagine that Willy could be so taken with him in bed that that was a factor, but Remus would do anything he could to make Willy happy there too, if he wanted it.

Mostly, he just hoped that Willy wasn't doing this just because he felt sorry for him. So he would make sure this was a positive arrangement for him. Willy only had to snap his fingers at this point. Remus was like a kicked puppy who had just been taken in off the street.

"You must have foods you really like," Remus continued happily. "I think I could make a honey cake like the one at the bakery. I could make whipped cream from scratch..."

"Mmm, cream," he purred. "Are you trying to seduce me?"

[mooningremus]

Remus smiled shyly. "I am trying to make you happy, and if you find cream seductive in addition to delicious I will make extra."

[willysilver]

"You need do nothing at all and I will be happy," he said as they arrived at the cafe. Inside was warm and filled with a thousand delicious scents. Willy waved to the waitress and sat down. She brought over coffee, knowing Willy would be asking for that first anyway.

[mooningremus]

"Thank you," Remus said kindly to the waitress, and then took a sip of the coffee and smiled. "I feel so much better," he said to Willy. "I was afraid I might have a concussion, but I think everything is healing already. I probably looked worse than I actually was."

[willysilver]

"You looked terrible," he said. He took up a menu. "Next moon I will chain you up so you don't damage yourself again."

[mooningremus]

Remus looked down at his coffee. "I think that is a good idea, if you are willing to help." He looked terribly sad. "I - I used to have friends, who helped me. It's been really hard by myself."

[willysilver]

"You're not alone now," Willy pointed out. He perused the menu for a moment, then laid it aside so he could drink his coffee. "Where are your friends?"
